Nimitz edges Richardson Pearce by three points
Adam Charles threw for 210 yards and Irving Nimitz ran for 200 yards, as they overcame an early ten-point deficit to defeat Richardson Pearce (1-1).
Nimitz (2-0) scored 21 points during five minutes of the second and third quarters highlighted by an interception by Glenn McQuinney with two minutes to go in the first half.
The interception set up Nathan Smith's four yard touchdown run for a 21-17 lead with 1:28 left in the half.
Later, Tareyton Banks scored his second touchdown after Shane Taylor blocked a punt inside the Pearce ten yard line.
Mac Morse threw for 385 yards and two Pearce touchdowns.
