In the early hours of Saturday, September 8, 2023, Dallas Police Officers responded to a stabbing incident in the 1800 block of Adelaide Drive. At approximately 3:45 am, officers arrived at the scene to find a man who had sustained critical injuries as a result of the altercation.
According to the initial investigation, it was revealed that a violent altercation had unfolded, leading to the victim being fatally stabbed. Despite the prompt response from Dallas Fire Rescue, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Further examination by detectives established that the victim and the alleged perpetrator, identified as 52-year-old Randell Wilson, had been engaged in a physical altercation that escalated to the stabbing.
Wilson was charged with murder and transported to the Lew Sterrett Jail. His bond was set at $500,000.
The offense will be documented on case 162534-2023.
