November Athletes of the Month: Monique Jackson and Zachry Stephenson

Monique Jackson, senior at MacArthur High School, and Zachry Stephenson, senior at Nimitz High School, have been named IISD Athletes of the Month for December.

Jackson was named All-District Honorable Mention for 2009-2010 and was the recipient of Most Improved and Best Leadership & Attitude awards at Summer Amateur Athletic Union Championships. She is a member of National Honor Society, MacArthur Student Council and Peer-Assistance and Leadership Students.

Stephenson is a captain on the Nimitz swimming team and is a two-time district and regional champion. In addition to swimming, he maintains a 3.5 grade average, participates in FFA, and works year-round as a lifeguard at North Lake College.
