Wolfpack Boys Turn in Best Ever Performance at New Year's Classic

Ranchview's swimming and diving team placed 13th in the girls competition and 14th in the boys competition at the C-FB ISD New Year's Classic over the weekend. For the boys' squad (24-34), it marks the best finish ever at an invitational meet. 

 

This year, more than 500 athletes from 31 teams across North and East Texas gathered as squads prepare for the district championships.  Sinjin Venegas was the top finisher for the Wolves, placing 5th in the 500 Free. 

 

Venegas was joined by Eric Armugan, Kazuomi Motoike and David Lee in breaking two more school records in the 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays.  Shelby Santoscoy led the girls team (33-26), placing 6th in the 500 Free.  For his improvement and  performances on some of the record-breaking relays this year, Eric Armugan is named the team's 8th "Athlete of the Week".
