Irving Police Seek Leads in 2022 Murder Case of 19-year-old in Valley Ranch: Suspect's Vehicle Identified

Irving Police detectives are actively seeking leads in an ongoing murder investigation that took place in 2022. The incident unfolded on February 10, 2022, at approximately 10:13 am, when officers from the Irving Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of N. MacArthur Blvd and Ranch Trail.

According to video surveillance footage, the suspect appears to have trailed the victim from his apartment complex. Following the shooting, the assailant fled the scene heading eastbound on S. Valley Ranch.

The victim was 19-year-old Thayrion Mason.  Mason had been living at his apartment in Irving for about a month.

The suspect's vehicle has been identified as a 2014 Kia Forte, notable for having a missing front license plate. Prior to the fatal incident in Irving, the same car was observed in both Carrollton and Grand Prairie.
