Irving Police Arrest Suspect Linked to Capital Murder Case, Uncover Child Pornography

On February 20, 2024, the Irving Police Department made an arrest in connection to the ongoing investigation for Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada, who is wanted for capital murder.

Yeferi Josue Aguilera Hernandez, aged 32, was apprehended on charges of "Hindering Apprehension of a Known Felon" under the Texas Penal Code. Subsequent to the execution of a search warrant on Hernandez's phone, authorities discovered various images and videos containing child pornography. Consequently, additional charges for "Possession of Child Pornography (Under the Age of 10)" were levied against Hernandez, constituting a First-Degree Felony.

Hernandez's bonds have been set at $25,000 for possession of child pornography with previous convictions and $100,000 for hindering apprehension/prosecution of a known felon. Currently, he is in custody at the Irving City Jail.

Additionally, Yudi Mabel Paguada Ruiz faces a similar charge of "Hindering Apprehension of a Known Felon" under the Texas Penal Code.

The search for Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada, also known as "Matute," continues. Paguada has been indicted by a Dallas County Grand Jury for Capital Murder.

The community is urged to remain vigilant and to immediately contact 9-1-1 if they have any information about Paguada's whereabouts. Authorities advise against attempting to contact or apprehend Paguada and encourage reporting of individuals who may have aided or are currently aiding him.
