His record of 37 goal interactions from his 129 appearances for Salt Lake (28 goals and 9 assists) represents a decent return for a player who is at the peak of his career.
His only international appearance came in 2023, and he will be keen to force his way back into the international scene by performing regularly for Dallas.
This trade has surprised a lot of people involved in the MLS, and the dynamic forward will hope to prove he has made the right decision by finding consistency. His talent has never been in doubt, with glimpses of his quality shown over the last few seasons at Real Salt Lake.
Last season he hit 9 goals in his 35 appearances, resulting in a 0.3-goal average. However, FC Dallas has had an eye on the player for some time and believes they can get the best from him under incoming head coach Eric Quill.
Quill joins from New Mexico United who he led to the Western Conference title, breaking records along the way.
