Sallie Ann Homs of Rockwall, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, October 27, 2011. She was born January 2, 1943 and raised in New Jersey. She was married to Salvador Homs in 1961and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past year on August 12th. She has two surviving children, Mark Homs of Rockwall, Texas and Lori Kelly of Dallas, Texas. Her firstborn son, Glenn Homs was an Irving Police Officer killed in the line of Duty in 1993 by a drunk driver. After living in West Paterson, N.J. she moved to Rockwall, Texas in 1984 with her family. Sallie will be remembered as a very loving and giving person and made many friends through her volunteer work. She was a member and advocate for MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and had a passion to help others dealing with grief and lost of loved ones due to drunk driving. She is also survived by five granddaughters Heather Homs, Amanda Kelly, Megan Kelly, Emma Homs, Katherine Homs and Rachel Homs. She is survived by one grandson, Ryan Homs and one Great Grandson, Dylan Homs.
A Memorial diner will be held for friends and family on November, 11th at 7:00 pm. Those wishing to attend may R.S.V.P. to her son Mark Homs at
