IN MEMORY OF

Stacey Jane Patrick

Stacey Jane Colberg was born in Irving, Texas on July 17, 1972 to her parents Janie and Keith Colberg. Her early years were filled with pets, sports, dance and gymnastics, and at age five she welcomed her little sister, Joey, into the world. Stacey attended AS Johnston elementary, Sam Houston Junior High, and MacArthur High School, where she was a member of the Cardette Drill team and met  “the girls,” many of whom became life-long friends. Stacey attended college in San Marcos at Southwest Texas State University, where she earned a degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Upon graduation, Stacey returned to Irving, where she began working in various laboratories, eventually spending most of her career as a project manager for Abbott Laboratories. She met and married her best friend, Dick Patrick, and became a devoted step-mom to his two daughters, Sydney and Lea, a job she took to heart. She was also a ten-year breast cancer survivor and was very active in raising money for breast cancer awareness.

Stacey was preceded in death by her dear cousin Gina Hatfield, beloved grandparents, Ted and Jean Colberg, her father Keith, and stepmother Belinda Colberg as well as many beloved close friends. She is survived by her mother Janie and Jim Allen, sister Joey Ridenour, nephews Dylan, and Luke, and her niece Mckenzie, her cherished fur babies Maizey and Stache and extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Stacey loved three things most in life: family, friends, and football. She was absolutely dedicated to her mom and sister and talked to them almost every day, and she was so proud of her “Mcneice”  with whom she shared a close bond. Her friends knew her as the life of every party, where her laughter could be heard above everyone else’s, and Stacey organized many fun-filled trips with “The Girls” to various parts of the country. She was a devoted sports fan and avid listener to The Ticket and loved the Mavs, Rangers, and Cowboys, but above all the Texas Longhorns. Stacey, was a scientist, stepmother, aunt, and friend to all, but most importantly, she loved Jesus and accepted him as her savior and went to be in his loving arms on September 1, 2024. To her family and friends, a hole is left where Stacey’s bright presence once stood, but we know we will see her beautiful face and hear her joyous laughter once more as our tour guide in heaven. Although Stacey’s life here on earth was relatively short, she made a considerable impact on everyone around her. She loved deeply, fiercely, and unapologetically, as everyone who knew her can attest, and she will be loved and missed just as fiercely, deeply and unapologetically until we see her again.

Stacey Patrick's memorial service will be held Saturday September 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Donnelly's Funeral Home, 606 W Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75060.
