Ranchview’s swimming and diving team picked up a few more dual meet victories before heading into the holiday break. The girls’ team, led by Sarah Rovi and her 200 Free win, beat Lake Highlands (170-128), Grapevine Faith (179-93) and Dallas First Baptist (174-139) to even its record to 6-6 on the season. Sinjin Venegas picked up another qualifying event for the 4A TISCA Championship in Frisco by making the cut in the 100 Free. He also won the 200 Free and diver Ilya LeBoulch placed third in diving, then pitched in on two relays. The boys picked up a victory over Dallas First Baptist (137-80) , but lost to Lake Highlands (142-131) and Grapevine Faith (158-134). Newcomer senior swimmer Tyler Rozelle was named the team’s seventh “Athlete of the Week” for his rapid improvement and his part on the record-breaking 400 Free Relay this season.
