A 17-year-old from Bedford was arrested on Wednesday, February 12, and charged with aggravated robbery in connection with a crime that occurred the previous evening.
On Tuesday night, police received a call from a resident who reported being robbed at gunpoint while working on his truck in a parking lot in the 2500 block of Central Drive. The victim provided a description of the suspect and their clothing.
During the investigation, Bedford Police detectives identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. Officers located the individual walking in the 2200 block of Central Drive on Wednesday and took them into custody. A search warrant executed at the suspect’s residence led to the discovery of a weapon and clothing matching the description given by the victim.
The suspect has been transferred to the Tarrant County Jail. In Texas, 17-year-olds are considered adults in the criminal justice system and can be charged accordingly.
