On March 12, 2025, a Tarrant County jury found 34-year-old Christopher Paul Robertson guilty of Murder and sentenced him to 50 years in prison.
In April 2024, Robertson shot his wife, 34-year-old Kristlynne Robertson, in the face, resulting in her death. One week later, Robertson’s brother discovered her body wrapped in a blue tarp inside Robertson’s bedroom at their home on Whitman Avenue in Fort Worth.

According to court documents, Robertson's brother had returned home after being away for several days and noticed a strong foul odor. He found Robertson in his room "extremely intoxicated" with Kristlynne’s body in the tarp.
The following day, Robertson called 911 and admitted to the crime, reportedly telling the call-taker, "My father-in-law is going to kill me... I actually killed his daughter."
Police met with Robertson two days later, where he again admitted to the shooting and stated he wanted to go to jail.
Kristlynne Robertson was the mother of five children.
"He left five children without a mother," Assistant District Attorney Riley Reynolds told the jury.
The Fort Worth Police Department investigated the case. The prosecution team included ADAs Riley Reynolds and Chase Payne, DA Investigator Victor Espino-Nevarez, and Victim Coordinator Clara Salvatierra.
