At 12:39 am this morning, Fort Worth police responded to the QuikTrip at 2501 NE 28th Street regarding an armed man inside the store.
When officers arrived at the QT, the man walked out the front of the store with a handgun and immediately started firing the gun towards officers. Officers returned fire, striking the suspect.
They performed first aid at the scene until paramedics transported him to a local hospital. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
This is an active investigation.
