North Richland Hills Woman Struck and Killed by Train

A young woman has died after an accident involving a train in the West 7th area of Fort Worth.

On Sunday evening at 9:00pm, multiple emergency responders from the Fort Worth Fire Department, Fort Worth Police Department, and MedStar EMS responded to a person struck by a train near the train crossing in the 2500 block of W. 7th Street.

Officers located a severely injured woman pinned between two train cars. Authorities say she was attempting to walk between the two train cars when the train moved and struck her. She was freed and transported by ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition, but pronounced deceased.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 27-year-old woman from North Richland Hills.

The incident remains under investigation.
