Bedford Motorcycle Officer and Driver Hospitalized After Collision on Central Drive

A Bedford Motorcycle Officer and a motorist were hospitalized following a collision on Central Drive near the Chattanooga Drive intersection. The accident transpired at approximately 7:30 a.m. as the officer was engaged in an attempt to halt a speeding vehicle.

According to preliminary reports, the motorcycle officer had activated his emergency lights and siren in pursuit of a speeding motorist heading southbound on Central Drive. As the officer closed in on the vehicle, a separate driver suddenly turned onto Central Drive from an intersecting road, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.

Emergency response teams arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Both the motorcycle officer and the driver of the other vehicle were assessed by medical professionals and subsequently transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Fortunately, officials have confirmed that the injuries sustained by both parties are non-life-threatening.
