On Saturday, December 23, 2023, at approximately 11:15 pm, a shooting took place at a residence located in the 9300 block of Cynthia Court, south of Everman.
According to investigators, a sizable gathering was underway at the house when an altercation erupted among multiple individuals regarding a missing item within the premises. The dispute escalated beyond the confines of the home, leading to the discharge of several gunshots.
Upon the arrival of paramedics, it was determined that one of the victims had succumbed to the injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three other individuals sustained serious injuries and were subsequently transported to local hospitals. At present, there is no available update on their conditions.
Homicide detectives have initiated an active investigation to delve into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
