Late on the night of December 28, 2023, just minutes before midnight, the Fort Worth Fire Department swiftly responded to reports of dense smoke emanating from the Camp Bowie Animal Clinic located in the 5700 block of Lovell Avenue.
Upon arrival, the first responders encountered a challenging situation, with heavy smoke and flames engulfing the wooden commercial structure. Within 15 minutes, the Incident Commander issued a second alarm, prompting a shift in firefighting strategy to a defensive approach.
After an hour of intense efforts, the fire was successfully brought under control. To ensure the prevention of any potential rekindling, firefighting crews remained on-site throughout the night, maintaining a vigilant watch.
Fortunately, at the time of the incident, the clinic was unoccupied, and no animals were present inside the building. Moreover, there were no reported injuries resulting from the fire. Currently, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
