In an incident earlier this week, Tarrant County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call regarding a suicidal subject in the 6300 block of Silver Rock Lane. Upon arrival, deputies were unable to locate the individual, but observed one of his vehicles missing from the residence. An assisting agency later found the vehicle, leading to a pursuit in which the subject, a 61-year-old male, refused to stop.
During the chase, the subject collided with three vehicles while evading capture and even fired a firearm from the window of the truck at one point. The pursuit continued until the subject threw the weapon out of the truck. Eventually, he returned to his residence and was taken into custody by Tarrant County Sheriff's Deputies.
The 61-year-old male was subsequently booked into the Tarrant County Jail on charges including Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading Arrest, Driving While Intoxicated, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He posted bail and was released from jail on Thursday.
