The City of Mansfield is gearing up for an exciting development as it announced a partnership with REV Sports Management and FC Dallas to operate the Multi-Use Soccer Stadium complex. The operating agreement was officially approved during the February 12 city council meeting.
REV Sports Management, along with FC Dallas, will play key roles in managing the venue upon its completion. This includes serving as design and construction consultants during the development phase and leading efforts to program various sports activities, including youth soccer and international tournaments.
The stadium project, which received funding approval from Mansfield residents in May 2023, is expected to be completed by 2026. It is part of the larger Harvest Point development, encompassing residential, retail, entertainment, and hospitality facilities.
Mayor Michael Evans expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "We know the stadium project has the potential to be the evolution of Mansfield's relationship with sports." Mansfield City Manager Joe Smolinski highlighted the collaborative effort between the city, REV Sports Management, and FC Dallas to bring elite athletics and entertainment to the community.
Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment, emphasized the commitment to the Mansfield community and looks forward to bringing soccer and entertainment to the area. FC Dallas Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Smith underscored the importance of providing quality soccer programming to the region, especially with the upcoming FIFA World Cup™ in 2026.
Currently, REV Sports Management, FC Dallas, and the City of Mansfield are working with the design team on initial development plans for the stadium. Further announcements regarding timelines, renderings, and operational details are expected in the coming months.
