On February 18, 2024, at around 12:45 AM, Allen Police Officers responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment complex situated in the 700 block of Bray Central. Upon arrival, authorities detained an 18-year-old male suspect.
Local emergency services informed the officers that two adult males, suffering from serious gunshot wounds but not in life-threatening condition, had been dropped off at a nearby emergency room. These individuals have also been taken into custody.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the victims, who are not residents of Allen, were engaged in illicit activities within the parking lot at the time of the incident. Moreover, evidence indicates that at least one of the gunshot wounds was accidentally self-inflicted. Despite the ongoing investigation, the Allen Police Department reassures the public that there is no immediate threat to their safety.
