On Saturday, February 10, 2024, at approximately 8:39 p.m., Lancaster police officers responded to reports of a shooting in progress in the 3200 block of West Pleasant Run Road. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as 17-year-old Benny Sanders Jr., was transported to Methodist Central Hospital by Lancaster Fire/EMS. Despite efforts to save him, Sanders succumbed to his injuries.
