Richardson Police arrested 28-year-old Steven Frederick on charges of Assault Family Violence on February 21, 2024, at 1:50 p.m.
The arrest followed a report from a woman who claimed she was assaulted at her residence in the 1300 block of Buckingham Place. The victim left the residence to speak with officers, prompting their response. Despite attempts to contact the suspect, he refused to leave the residence, which was also occupied by other family members.
As a precautionary measure, tactical resources were deployed to resolve the situation. Following successful negotiations with the suspect, he exited the home without further incident and was taken into custody.
