On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the Fort Worth Police Department arrested 25-year-old Alex Alvarez of Fort Worth for the Attempted Burglary of a Residence near the TCU campus.
This arrest came after officers responded to a suspicious person call near the 3100 block of Sandage Ave on Sunday, February 25, 2024. A resident reported to police that two men had attempted to enter their home. The resident provided security camera footage, which proved vital to the investigation and led to the apprehension of Alvarez.
The Fort Worth Police Department expressed gratitude to its investigators and the TCU Police Department for their dedicated efforts in assisting with this arrest.
Investigators are actively pursuing additional leads, and more charges are expected as the investigation continues.
