Public Assistance Sought in Investigation of Unlicensed Community Living Homes in Arlington, Mansfield and Grand Prairie

Regla Becquer

Arlington Police, along with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, have launched a public appeal for assistance in a significant investigation concerning unlicensed community living homes operated by "Love and Caring for People LLC."

The owner, Regla "Su" Becquer, 49, faces a charge of Abandoning/Endangering an Individual in Imminent Danger of Bodily Injury and is in custody at Tarrant County Jail with a $750,000 bond. Further charges are anticipated pending the ongoing investigation.

Love and Caring for People LLC claims to provide supervised personal care for adults. However, the Arlington PD's Behavioral Health Law Enforcement Unit (BHLEU) has probed numerous allegations of abuse, neglect, theft, and fraud linked to Ms. Becquer and her company's homes.

Investigators allege inadequate care for clients, hindering medical attention, cutting off client-family communication, unauthorized use of clients’ debit cards, and retaining possessions of deceased clients, including phones and vehicles.

Multiple potential victims have been identified across five properties connected to Love and Caring for People LLC:

  • 1210 Woodbrook Street, Arlington, TX
  • 7411 Lake Whitney Drive, Arlington, TX
  • 7419 Fossil Creek Drive, Arlington, TX
  • 2059 Turtle Cove Drive, Mansfield, TX
  • 1852 Hidden Brook Drive, Grand Prairie, TX

Authorities seek to ascertain further victims and homes and encourage current or former clients and their families to contact a dedicated tip line at (817) 575-3230. Chief of Police Al Jones emphasized the importance of awareness, ensuring no victims are overlooked, and facilitating legitimate care for affected individuals.

District Attorney Phil Sorrells echoed the call for public assistance, emphasizing the potential impact across multiple cities within Tarrant County. Presently, Ms. Becquer faces charges solely related to one case involving one client.
