Arlington Man Receives 60 Years in Prison for Kidnapping and Sexually Abusing 13-year-old Girl

The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office has successfully prosecuted a case against a sexual child abuser.

On June 14, 2022, the defendant, Nolan Neighbors, drove to Honey Grove, TX (Fannin County) to pick up a 13-year-old girl.  He took her back to his apartment in Arlington where he continuously sexually abused her.   He kept her in the closet until Arlington Police Officers showed up and rescued her.

"This case was finally taken to trial and the jury returned a swift guilty verdict. Sending a message that we protect children in our community," said Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney Deanna Franzen.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Erika Staif (1st chair) and Deanna Franzen (2nd chair).

Neighbors was sentenced to 5 years for Aggravated Kidnapping and 20 years for each count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child (3 counts).  The judge stacked the sentences making the defendant spend the next 60 years in prison.

The Arlington Police Department investigated the case.
