On September 19, 2024, a Tarrant County jury found 45-year-old Daniel Bocanegra Jr. of Fort Worth guilty of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. Following the verdict, he was sentenced to 47 years in prison.
Bocanegra was prosecuted for sexually abusing a female family member for many years, starting when she was a 2-year-old child.
The Fort Worth Police Department investigated the case.
