Terry Cannon, 37, has been sentenced to 45 years in prison after being found guilty of evading arrest with a vehicle by a Tarrant County jury. The verdict followed a chase that occurred on December 26, 2022, when Fort Worth Police officers attempted to stop Cannon, who was driving a Chevy Malibu.
Cannon fled for more than four miles before running a stop sign and crashing into another vehicle, injuring a woman. After the crash, officers discovered over 100 grams of cocaine in Cannon's vehicle. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Dani Wojciak and Tad Schmidt.
Cannon’s sentencing took place in a Tarrant County courtroom, where the jury handed down the 45-year sentence.
