The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced that a jury has found 54-year-old Willie Maxwell guilty of robbery, resulting in a 25-year prison sentence.
The charges stem from incidents on December 26, 2023, when Maxwell entered three different stores within the same shopping center. During the thefts, he stole multiple items and threatened anyone who attempted to intervene. In the final store, Maxwell escalated the situation by punching an employee in the face.
The court also presented evidence that established Maxwell as a habitual offender, contributing to the severity of his sentence.
