In the early hours of Saturday, October 12, 2024, at approximately 2:14 a.m., Fort Worth Police responded to a shooting in the 4200 block of the South Freeway service road. Upon arrival, officers found three victims, all of whom were transported to area hospitals. One victim was later pronounced dead, while another is expected to survive. A third individual, believed to have been struck by debris, is not thought to have been shot.
The investigation revealed a physical altercation occurred between the suspect and another individual just before the shooting. The suspect then fired multiple rounds, striking the victims, and fled the scene in a dark-colored pickup truck.
The Fort Worth Police Homicide Unit is investigating the case, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
