On October 23, 2024, a Tarrant County jury found 54-year-old Leroy White guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and sentenced him to life in prison. The conviction stems from an incident on July 29, 2022, when White, working as security at an Arlington bar, was involved in an altercation and fired a weapon at a patron.
At the time of the incident, White was out on bond for a robbery charge from Dallas County and had a previous conviction for murder. The case was investigated by the Arlington Police Department and prosecuted by Jeff Stewart and Madeline Jones. The District Attorney's Investigators involved in the case were Tim Pinckney and Jose Fonseca.
