Christon Lamont Jackson

On November 5, 2024, a Tarrant County jury found 55-year-old Christon Lamont Jackson of Forrest Hill guilty of murder, sentencing him to 70 years in prison for his role in a 2019 robbery that left 36-year-old Ahmad Farid dead. The robbery occurred on June 17, 2019, in the 5400 block of East Loop 820 South at approximately 10:45 p.m.

Investigators reported that Jackson, along with accomplices Tabitha Lynn Thomas, 37, of Arlington, and Maurice Jerome Washington, ambushed Farid, stealing his iPhone and a wallet containing $300 at gunpoint. During the incident, Jackson struck Farid in the head with a pistol, causing critical injuries. Farid was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died four days later from blunt force trauma.

Tabitha Lynn Thomas was also charged with murder, while Washington was arrested in August 2019 and charged in connection with the crime. The Fort Worth Police Department conducted the investigation that ultimately led to the suspects’ arrests and subsequent convictions.
