Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson has announced a partnership with the All Stars Project, Inc., aimed at setting a national standard in youth and workforce development through the Dallas Works Summer Youth Employment Program. The collaboration seeks to expand internship opportunities for young people, especially from underserved communities, while strengthening the local workforce.

“Dallas is a city of opportunity for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic background,” Mayor Johnson said. “Through Dallas Works, we unlock the full potential of our city’s youth and set them on a path to success. This year, I’m excited to partner with the All Stars Project, whose commitment to excellence makes them perfect for this venture.”

Dallas Works, launched by Mayor Johnson in 2020, is a workforce development initiative that has provided hundreds of youth with internships, career training, and recruitment opportunities. In 2025, the program will place over 100 young people in paid internships with Dallas-area businesses and nonprofits, facilitated by the All Stars Project’s performance-based youth development expertise.

Chris Street, CEO of the All Stars Project, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. “It is an honor to serve Dallas by leading this program and leveraging the incredible workforce resources of the city’s leading nonprofits and educational institutions,” said Street. “Our decades of grassroots experience and research-backed approach to youth development make us uniquely equipped to help Dallas Works succeed.”

Local businesses and organizations are invited to support the Dallas Works initiative by offering internships, mentorship, and resources to help shape the next generation of leaders. Mayor Johnson emphasized that participating organizations will play a vital role in the city’s future workforce, setting a model for youth internships across the nation.
