Irving Investigators Make Arrest in Human Trafficking Case

What started as an endangered runaway investigation last month turned into a human trafficking case.  The investigation began after the endangered runaway was returned home.   
 
The investigation revealed that Nelson transported the victim to a location in Dallas for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
 
Investigators were able to obtain an arrest warrant for 31-year old Kenzie Lecarey Nelson and he was taken into custody on January 5th without incident at his home in Garland.  Nelson was charged with Trafficking of Persons (younger than 18 years old) and is being held in the Irving jail with total bail set at $350,000.

Nelson has also been charged with three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Compelling Prostitution.

The investigation is ongoing therefore additional charges may be filed and additional suspects may be arrested.
 
"Due to the nature of the investigation and in order to protect the identity of the victim, limited information will be available.", the press release stated.
