Man Struck and Killed by Multiple Vehicles While Crossing Highway 360 in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX — The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian collision that occurred early Friday morning, July 18, 2025, along State Highway 360 near I-30.

At approximately 5:07 a.m., officers were dispatched to the southbound lanes after the driver of a Ford Ranger reported striking something in the roadway, possibly a person. Upon arrival, officers located the remains of an adult male in the main lanes of traffic. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to investigators, the man was initially struck by one vehicle, and then several others ran over him. The driver of the Ford Ranger stopped and cooperated with authorities, along with other drivers who believed they may have struck the pedestrian. Police say no criminal charges are expected to be filed.

It remains unknown why the man was in the highway lanes.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s name after positive identification.

Southbound lanes of the highway were closed for about five and a half hours while crews investigated and cleared the scene. All lanes have since reopened.

The Arlington Police Department reminded the public that pedestrians should never attempt to cross active highway lanes and should instead use designated crossings on overpasses or underpasses.
