IRVING, TX – Irving Independent School District (IISD) officially opened Baby University South today, marking a significant milestone as the first completed project from the May 2023 Bond and the district's inaugural tuition-based early learning center for staff and their families.
Superintendent Hernandez expressed immense pride in the new facility. Located at 800 N. O’Connor Road at the corner with Union Bower, the campus occupies the site of the former Irving ISD Food Service Center, which was demolished to make way for the new construction.
"With the support of our community through the May 2023 Bond and the dedication of incredible partners like Corgan Inc. and Lee Lewis Construction, we’re proud to open a warm, nurturing space designed especially for the children of our hardworking staff - a place where our littlest learners will grow, explore, and thrive," a district statement read.
What is Baby University?

Beyond childcare, Baby University will also offer classes to expecting mothers, further broadening its impact within the community.
Tuition rates for the center are as follows, determined by current rates in surrounding districts:
-
Infants (6 Weeks - 17 Months): $800 per month
-
Toddlers (18 - 35 Months): $700 per month
