IRVING, Texas. Biote Corp. (NASDAQ: BTMD), an Irving-based hormone therapy company, has appointed Dr. Komal Bajaj as its new Chief Medical Officer, effective June 1, 2026.
Dr. Bajaj is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductive geneticist with more than 20 years of experience in clinical medicine, healthcare quality, academic leadership and innovation.
Before joining Biote, she served in senior leadership roles with NYC Health + Hospitals, most recently as Chief Quality Officer for Jacobi Hospital and North Central Bronx Hospital. In that role, she oversaw quality and patient safety initiatives across a healthcare system serving approximately one million patients.
Biote Chairman Marc Beer said Dr. Bajaj's experience leading complex healthcare organizations and improving patient outcomes will strengthen the company's clinical programs.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bajaj has led initiatives involving artificial intelligence governance, simulation-based workforce training, diagnostic excellence and patient safety modernization. She also helped develop a prenatal molecular diagnostic assay that was commercialized internationally and has contributed to the launch of several digital health solutions focused on virtual care, health professional education and clinical data measurement.
Dr. Bajaj said she looks forward to helping expand access to personalized wellness solutions while advancing clinical quality and innovation.

In addition to her new role, Dr. Bajaj serves as a professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has held leadership and advisory positions with the National Academy of Medicine, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and The Joint Commission.
She was also recognized by Becker's Hospital Review as a "Patient Safety Expert to Know" in both 2024 and 2025.
