Irving Woman Arrested on 10 Dallas Warrants, Accused of Bringing Meth Into Jail

IRVING, Texas - A 44-year-old woman arrested during an Irving traffic stop on 10 outstanding Dallas warrants is facing additional felony charges after corrections officers found methamphetamine concealed on her during the booking process, according to police.

Crystal Dawn Natividad, 44, was arrested Sept. 19 after an Irving police officer stopped a white 2015 Dodge Charger near North O'Connor Road and the north State Highway 183 service road.

The officer had been following the Charger and conducted a license plate check shortly before noon. According to police, the plate displayed on the Dodge returned as belonging to a black Kia and also appeared to be fictitious.

After stopping the vehicle, the officer contacted its occupants. Natividad, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, voluntarily provided her identification information.

A records check showed Natividad had 10 outstanding misdemeanor warrants from the Dallas Police Department related to traffic and vehicle violations, according to police. The Irving officer arrested her on the warrants and transported her to the Irving Jail.

Before Natividad was booked into the jail, the officer asked whether she had anything concealed on or inside her person, and she said she did not, according to the police account.

During a subsequent search, Irving corrections officers reported finding two small baggies containing methamphetamine on Natividad.

Natividad was then charged with possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1-B between 1 and 4 grams and prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility.
