Teen Summer Field Trip Series Explores Area Attractions

Youth and teens can enjoy area attractions by registering for one of the weekly field trips hosted by Lively Pointe Youth Center. With a variety of trip options, teens can discover the unique sport of whirlyball, play retro games at the National Video Game Museum, or fuel the need for speed with indoor go-karting. 

Open to youth, ages 11-17, the Teen Summer Field Trip Series will take place on Thursdays, beginning June 3. Space is limited; registration begins May 25. Each trip costs $10 and includes admission tickets and transportation. Some trips require participants to bring a lunch; additional money may be required to purchase food or additional games where applicable.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD TRIP SERIES SCHEDULE | AGES 11-14

  • June 3 | iT’Z Pizza, Euless 
  • June 17 | National Video Game Museum, Frisco
  • July 1 | Whirlyball, Hurst*
  • July 15 | Andretti's Indoor Karting and Games, The Colony*

*Trip requires a parental waiver to be completed prior to departure.

HIGH SCHOOL FIELD TRIP SERIES SCHEDULE | AGES 14-17

  • June 10 | Studio Movie Grill, Arlington
  • June 24 | Adventure Park - Paintball, Mansfield*
  • July 8 | Epic Waters, Grand Prairie
  • July 22 | Escape Room, TBA

*Trip requires a parental waiver to be completed prior to departure.

FIELD TRIP INFORMATION

  • Payment for field trips must be made at the time of registration; space is limited. Payment is for admission only. Except where indicated, teens should bring additional money for food, games, souvenirs, etc.
  • Participants should arrive at Lively Pointe Youth Center at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
  • For outdoor trips, sunscreen is suggested.
  • Participants who become ill will be unable to remain on the field trip. A parent/guardian will be called to pick them up.
  • Staff is not responsible for lost or stolen items during field trip.
  • Staff does not condone disrespectful or illegal behavior. Parents will be notified of any behavior problems during field trips. In serious cases, parents may be required to pick them up from the field trip location and also may be denied from attending future field trips.
