Calling all flappers and suffragists, bootleggers and temperance advocates: The Irving Archives and Museum, 801 W. Irving Blvd., is throwing a Prohibition-themed gala Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. to celebrate its long-awaited grand opening.
The "Rum Runners and Rug Cutters" party will feature live music from The Suitcase Trio, as well as hors d'oeuvres, dancing and a charity raffle. Tickets are $75 per person; attendees must be 21 or older. Sponsorships also are available. Purchase tickets online.
Attendees are encouraged to wear period attire, and remember, the password for entry is "white lightning."
