On November 5, 2023, Sergeant Ruben Lozano, badge number 9732, was arrested on charges of Family Violence and Unlawful Restraint as per warrants issued by the Irving Police Department. The incident occurred while Sergeant Lozano was off-duty.
Sergeant Lozano, who has served with the department since January 2009, is currently assigned to the Central Business District.
Following his arrest, he has been placed on administrative leave while an Internal Affairs administrative investigation is conducted to determine the outcome of the case.
