American Airlines is set to elevate the travel experience for its AAdvantage® members with a series of enhancements and additions to its award-winning loyalty program.
AAdvantage® Program Reinforces Commitment to Members
Scott Chandler, American’s Senior Vice President of Loyalty and Revenue Management, expressed the airline's dedication to providing unmatched loyalty rewards. He stated, “There has never been a better time to be a member in the award-winning AAdvantage program."
Earning Made Easy: More Ways to Accumulate Miles
American Airlines is making it simpler for AAdvantage® members to earn miles and Loyalty Points. Recent additions, such as AAdvantage HotelsTM and AAdvantage EventsTM, offer more opportunities for members to accrue rewards quickly. Soon, members can earn miles when upgrading to a premium cabin by paying with cash.
A new Loyalty Point Reward choice has been introduced, providing additional Loyalty Points towards AAdvantage® status, starting at the 15,000 Loyalty Point Reward level. The qualification year for 2024 starts on March 1, 2024, and runs through February 28, 2025.
Turn Ordinary into Extraordinary: Enhanced Ways to Use Miles
Members reaching AAdvantage Platinum Pro® status can now redeem miles for Flagship® First Dining passes, turning their airport dining experience into a luxurious affair. Additionally, in 2024, members will be able to redeem miles for upgrades with select airline partners.
AAdvantage® members can continue using miles for flights, upgrades, lounge memberships, hotels, car rentals, and more.

Flagship Lounge® Single Visit Passes: Buy a pass to enjoy the premium Flagship Lounge.

24-Hour Trip Hold: Members can put flights on hold free of charge for up to 24 hours.
Starting later this month, AAdvantage® members will have the option to cancel non-refundable Basic Economy tickets and receive a partial trip credit for a fee. American Airlines remains committed to exploring ways to create a more exclusive and rewarding experience for AAdvantage® members.
