DFW Airport Increasing Parking Rates in May

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will implement new parking rates starting May 1, as announced by airport officials. The adjustment aims to support ongoing improvements to infrastructure and services. These updated rates follow a marketplace review to ensure competitiveness while aiding the airport's non-aeronautical revenue.

DFW has over $500 million allocated for roadway and parking upgrades in the coming years. Among these plans is the International Parkway project, set to modernize access to various terminals with new right-hand exit bridges. Additionally, Terminal C's parking garages and associated roadways are scheduled for reconstruction and renovation.

Notably, the fee for picking up or dropping off passengers remains unchanged at $2 for vehicles present for 8-30 minutes. Despite the increase, DFW's parking rates remain favorable compared to other airports of similar size. The airport has adjusted rates only twice in the past seven years, considering the rising costs of materials and labor due to inflation.

Customers can still save up to 50% on drive-up rates by prebooking parking online. Furthermore, DFW recently reopened the Remote North parking lot on March 1, which had been closed during the pandemic. Promotional rates as low as $4 per day are available for booking Remote North before April 14, valid for travel through May 10.
