Dallas Police Sergeant Thomas Fry (badge #8003), who works with Detention Services, turned himself in to Mesquite Police on April 8, 2024.
This action came after an investigation initiated by the Dallas Police Department Public Integrity Unit into allegations of criminal misconduct against Fry.
The investigation, which began on October 10, 2022, found that Sgt. Fry had stolen three duty firearms from the Southeast Patrol Division between August 2021 and July 2022.
Three arrest warrants for Theft of a Firearm, a state jail felony, were issued for Fry in connection to the incident.
