City of Dallas Seeks Resident Input on Digital Kiosk Modernization Plan

The City of Dallas Department of Public Works is seeking resident input on a plan to modernize communication kiosks with digital features. These kiosks aim to promote local businesses, events, community engagement, and enhance safety.

The proposal includes installing interactive digital kiosks in busy areas like commercial districts. Equipped with SmartCity technologies and touchscreens, these kiosks would offer information on public service announcements, safety alerts, transit schedules, local businesses, job opportunities, events, and community engagement. Free Wi-Fi will also be available.

The department is hosting two meetings, one virtual and one in-person, to gather feedback on the proposal.

The Webex virtual meeting will be hosted on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Attendees will be able to ask questions during the Q&A section. Speakers and questions will be asked to limit their time to under one minute.
