Garland Police notified Dallas 9-1-1 early on April 15, 2024, following a report of a murder on the 1300 block of W. Wheatland Road in the Wolf Creek area (south Dallas).
The preliminary investigation determined officers responded to the location and found a man, identified as 34-year-old Omar Lucio, who refused to come outside .At approximately 3:00 am, Lucio exited the apartment and was taken into custody.
Upon entering the apartment, officers found an unresponsive woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire Rescue.
Lucio was subsequently charged with Murder and taken to the Dallas County Jail. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting in identifying the victim.
The case is under investigation with the reference number #058858-2024.
