Boy Scouts of America Rebrands to Scouting America

In a move reflecting inclusivity and commitment to youth, the Boy Scouts of America announced its rebranding to Scouting America. Effective February 8, 2025, on the organization’s 115th anniversary, this change aims to embrace every youth and family in America.

Celebrating five years since welcoming girls into Cub Scouting and Scouts BSA programs, Scouting America serves over 176,000 girls and young women, with over 6,000 achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Roger A. Krone, president and CEO of Scouting America, emphasized continuity in mission, stating, “Though our name will be new, our mission remains unchanged: we are committed to teaching young people to be Prepared. For life.”

With a legacy spanning 114 years, Scouting America pledges to provide a safe space for youth to learn vital life skills, guided by the Scout Oath and Law. Over 130 million Americans have participated in its programs since 1910.

Currently, 477,000 adult volunteers nationwide serve over 1 million youth, with more than 2.75 million achieving Eagle Scout rank. Beyond youth development, Scouting America contributes over 7 million volunteer hours annually for community improvement projects.

“Scouting America provides a welcoming, safe environment where youth can become the best version of themselves,” said Krone, inviting all to join and experience its benefits.
