Jamarion Terrell Williams, 34, was found guilty of assault against a family member with a previous conviction and sentenced to 20 years in prison, the maximum sentence, by a Tarrant County jury.
On October 6, 2022, Williams assaulted his on-and-off girlfriend in her Arlington apartment. After the woman escaped, he assaulted her again by punching her in the back of the head. Witnesses intervened and called 911.
The jury learned that Williams was a repeat offender with a history of violence towards women, including sexual violence.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Stephanie Simpson and Darren De La Cruz. DA investigator Dara DeWall and Victim Coordinator Carma Anderson assisted.
The Tarrant County District Attorney's Office thanked the Arlington Police Department and The Women’s Center for their work on the case.
