Fatal I-20 Fiery Crash in Arlington: Driver Arrested for Intoxication, Passengers Detained

Arlington Police have arrested three men in connection with a fatal crash on Interstate 20 that resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man.

The incident occurred Saturday evening, March 22, 2025, just after 7:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-20 near Bowen Road.

A 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck struck a parked 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT on the highway shoulder. The impact pushed the Mitsubishi into a concrete wall, causing it to catch fire.

Firefighters extinguished the flames and found the remains of the 22-year-old man inside the Mitsubishi. His identity is pending release by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Witnesses reported three men fleeing the pickup truck. All three were quickly located and detained by Arlington officers.

Cesar Ramirez Castro, 25, the driver of the Ford pickup, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter and collision involving death. He is being held on an immigration detainer.

Passengers Marcelino Ramirez-Ramirez, 30, and Daniel Castro Zammarron, 24, were arrested for public intoxication and are also being held on immigration detainers.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
