A Tarrant County jury found 59-year-old Jesus Avitia Terrazas guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a child, the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office announced. Following the verdict on May 16, 2025, the court sentenced Terrazas to life in prison.
The case originated in 2020 when an 8-year-old girl reported that Terrazas had sexually assaulted her multiple times during visits with family in Arlington. The Arlington Police Department was contacted, and Terrazas was subsequently arrested.
The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Sydney Brock and Megan Bradshaw, with DA Investigator Tiffany Johnson and Victim Coordinator Angela Stevens providing crucial support.
