On Monday, May 19, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Dallas police responded to a call for service in the 9600 block of Greensprint Drive in the Lake Highlands area.
The preliminary investigation determined that 82-year-old John Allison Faulkner shot 81-year-old Sharon Kay Faulkner before dying from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, and both individuals were pronounced dead at the location.
According to police, the suspect and victim were known to one another.
This incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide and is documented under case number 070738-2025.
